Wrapped in the early winter mist, bathed in the warm winter sun, the Fifth Foreign Language Festival of The Primary School Attached to Chengdu Experimental Foreign Languages School kicked off this December.

The opening ceremony featured a strong lineup of small multilingual hosts. They made a comeback this year. And last week, they presented The Foreign Language Highlights Show in Chinese, English, German, French, Japanese, Korean and Thai. That's awesome!

The Fifth Foreign Language Festival of The Primary School Attached to Chengdu Experimental Foreign Languages School
新年的钟声即将敲响,在此辞旧迎新之际,我们迎来了实外附小第五届外语节活动周。本次活动的主题是:绘外语之画卷,展华美之乐章。我校通过举办校园外语节,激发学生对外语学习的兴趣,提高学生的听说与读写能力,渗透国际理解意识,以丰富多彩的外语活动为载体,营造良好的外语学习氛围,丰富校园文化生活,让学生在外语活动中体会到学外语、用外语的快乐。
The New Year's bell is about to ring. On the occasion of bidding farewell to the old and welcoming the new, we have ushered in the fifth Foreign Language Festival Week. Our school aims to stimulate students' interest in foreign language learning, and promote their international understanding by holding foreign language festivals. With a variety of foreign language activities as the carrier, our school creates a wonderful foreign language learning atmosphere for children. And let our students realize the joy of learning and using foreign languages in foreign language activities.

Part One "Bright Future Star" bilingual host campus audition
成都电视台《非童小可》栏目组走进实外附小校园,携手我校英语组共同开展“闪亮未来星”双语主持人校园选拔赛啦!赛场上,孩子们都表现出了极大的热情,无论是朗诵、讲故事还是即兴主持,孩子们都精心准备,倾情演出,展现了当代青少儿积极向上的精神风貌和较高的语言艺术水准,获得了在场评委老师的一致好评。
Chengdu TV "Excellent Children" column team and our School English group jointly carried out "Bright future star" bilingual host campus audition! On the field, our children showed great enthusiasm. No matter it was recitation, story telling or impromptu hosting, the children were well prepared and performed, showing the positive spiritual outlook and high language art level of contemporary young children, which won unanimous praise from the judges.

Grade 1: English Song Singing Competition
欢乐的笑脸、动听的英语歌谣和美妙的音符营造出了本次英语歌曲演唱比赛的活泼氛围。一年级的小朋友们用充满稚气的童声唱出了童年的快乐,让我们感受到了祖国花朵的朝气与活力。
Happy smiling faces, beautiful English songs and wonderful notes create a lively atmosphere for this English song singing competition. The children of grade one sang the wonderful songs with childlike voice, which made us feel the vigor and vitality of them.
2年级:英语字母书写大赛
Grade 2: English Alphabet Writing Contest
二年级的小朋友们在本次书写比赛中展示了扎实的英语书写功底,字母书写标准,字迹流畅端正,卷面整洁漂亮,真是令人赏心悦目啊!
In this writing competition, the grade 2 students demonstrated their solid writing skills in English. Their handwriting is standard, smooth and beautiful. What a wonderful feast for our eyes!
3年级:外语歌曲演唱比赛决赛
Grade 3: Foreign Language Song Singing Competition
童声悠扬,快乐成长。三年级的孩子们以流利的外语口语和动听的歌谣打动了在座的观众和评委们。孩子们放声歌唱,既展现了外语歌曲的魅力,也展示了实外附小学子的实力。
Melodious voice, happy growth. Grade 3 students impressed the audience and the judges with their fluent oral foreign languages and beautiful songs. The children sing aloud, which not only shows the charm of foreign language songs , but also shows the strength of students in our school.
4年级:英语图绘写文比赛
Grade 4: English Drawing and Writing Competition
四年级的同学们以“My weekend”为主题,创作了图文并茂的英语海报。一幅幅惟妙惟肖的配图、一句句贴近生活的英语描述跃然纸上。在孩子们的眼里,英语就是一门集语言魅力与绘画于一体的艺术。
The students of Grade 4 created an illustrated English poster with the theme of "My Weekend". Lifelike illustrations and sentences of English descriptions close to life are vividly displayed on the paper.
5-6年级:“我型我秀”英语演讲比赛决赛
Grades 5-6: "My Style and My Show" English Speaking Competition
在高年级孩子们的满心期待下,“我型我秀”英语演讲比赛如约而至。今年比赛的主题是“用英语讲中国故事”,希望同学们能在故事里读懂中国,用英语展示中华文化。通过这次比赛,孩子们增加了英语学习热情,同时也丰富了校园文化生活。
With the anticipation of the senior students, the English speech contest "My style and my Show" arrived as scheduled. The theme of this year's competition is "Telling Chinese Stories in English". Through this competition, the students increased their enthusiasm in learning English, and also enriched the campus cultural life.

All the students of The Primary School Attached to Chengdu Experimental Foreign Languages School are actively involved in the creation process of the works. Each student prepared an English greeting card, which was exchanged among different grades. In the form of drifting bottles, each student received the card randomly and exchanged blessings. Dear children, have you received the warm wishes full of heart?
